After a lovely few days in the Valley (did I just use lovely and Valley in the same sentence?)... we jumped back in the car and headed south to our adopted hometown of San Diego. We were greeted by a beautifully setting sun as we crossed Pendleton and entered North County. There is always a sigh of relief once I reach this point. Maybe it's the smell of the ocean, or anticipation of seeing good friends, or knowing our next few days would be carefree on the beach. It doesn't matter really, we were arriving.
