Veda turned 3 months yesterday. It's rather unbelievable how much has happened in those 3 short months. New cognitive processes seem to come online from one day to the next, and there is a new spark in her eye that says she knows where she is, even if she doesn't know where she's going. One of the best new skills Veda has acquired is laughter. She has laughed twice (that we know of). Not just a chuckle, or a giggle, but a full bellied laugh. The first happened when Clark was wearing Veda while throwing the ball for Kala. It seems Veda found Kala's poodle spinning antics to be quite amusing. The second happened as Veda's mama lowered her into the bathtub with her. She squealed and laughed with delight. After all those funny faces, silly noises, and raspberries on the belly, it was the simple acts of everyday life that elicited Veda's glee. While we have yet to catch that spontaneously elusive laughter on film, here are some of Veda's recent musings regarding life on the outside.
