Yes indeed, this baby is impossible not to love. I suppose most babies are hard not to love. But this particular baby is, well, somethin' special. Maybe it's her liberal use of smiles, or the way she gazes into my eyes while nursing, or the pressure of her little hand folded around my finger as she drifts off to sleep. It could of course be her spot on impressions of an owl hooting in the woods. In any case, her little face has us hook, line, and sucker.
And so, Veda continues to grow and thrive and show us small previews of her burgeoning personality. Her laughs of glee in the bathtub continue, as do our morning chats over coffee. Socially she is branching out, insofar as competing for attention at the Mama group today by chiming in loud coos, chirps, and squeals when it was in fact her mother's turn to speak. Ah well, we will have years to work on manners. For now, she is charged with the heavy burden of being the center of the universe. At the very least, the center of our universe.
Clark and Veda all suited up to go across the street to the park and throw the ball for kala-girl. That's one irresistible daddy-daughter combo.
Caught in the act of learning and discovery. Another new milestone.. grasping. And not just the blind grasping of anything that might be within blind grasping reach, but deliberate grasping; fingers open, hand stretched, crossing the precarious distance to the mouth. This little blue bear was a gift from Veda's cousins, Addison & Ellis, and I do believe it is currently one of her favorites. Thanks girls!

She is adorable! Is that a Beco?
Thanks, Laura! It's actually a Bjorn with a slobber/spit up towel added. Although I prefer our Ergo, we still use the Bjorn as she really likes to face outward when we take the dog out to the park.
