The little successes.

I think any new parent will tell you, those first trips out of the house bring at least a moderate amount of anticipation and nervousness. Will she be fussy? Will she cry? And if so, will I be able to soothe her? Will she engage rapid fire farting while we're placing our order? Given these worries, the successes of these first journeys bring a boost in confidence to tackle longer outings, and maybe even chance a probable period of fussiness. So with this in mind, Clark, Veda and myself ventured to the Great Dane for an early Friday evening bite on the patio. After falling asleep on the short drive there, Veda continued her nap while we ate our burgers and enjoyed the warm evening. Instead of running home while things were still good, we paid the bill and made our way to Whole Foods, which was the little lady's first ride in the grocery cart. My only complaint.. I can't actually see over the carrier, so watch out grocery store patrons, it's all by feel for me. (And by feel I mean, I feel my cart hitting your body, sorry!) After landing safely back at home the I seriously need to eat NOW! squawking commenced, and these new parents were grateful for another small success.

Video: Nom nom noming. Before you make your quick diagnosis, this little gal had JUST eaten, and eaten aplenty. She has what might classically be called an oral fixation. Really anything will do.. typically we opt for the binky, but Clark's hand does the job quite well.

Apologies for the low res presentation - it seems blogspot compresses what is otherwise a nice flip video :(
