The Blizzard

Looks like this winter is coming in like a lion, as we are in the midst of being smacked by one heck of a blizzard! Both doors to our home are blocked by nearly 2 feet of snow, and the poor pooch is not entirely sure just where it is she is supposed to potty (last trip out she was chest high in snow). Although as you can see from the photo (left) Miss Kala didn't let that little worry slow her down.

While the entire stat
e of Colorado came to a screeching halt, Clark (who had the much applauded foresight this morning of not attempting to make the usual 45 mile drive to work) and I spent the day watching the snow accumulate from the toasty inside of our house. This So. Calif. native has learned that snow days mean hot oatmeal, jammies and slippers, and sitting by the window in awe of just how much disappears under 20 inches of snow. So don't feel too bad for us - tomorrow will be Snow Day Round Two. Guess we'll be 'forced' to miss another day of work! Bummer.
