Flower power.

I have so much to say, and just so very little energy to say it. Maybe I can manage a cliffs notes version? We are in crapville sleep mode; mine, Veda's, and Clark's. Seems no one is sleeping well, particularly Veda. It will pass, it always does. Veda is rapidly gaining more control over her body. She loves to use her mama as a jungle gym. She is also rapidly sussing out her babbling, as the consonants have become clearer, more distinct. Veda has begun to parrot or mimic. As crazy as it sounds, she actually parroted "I love you Dada". We are not kidding. Clark and I both heard it in the car, at least 4-5 times. We just about peed ourselves with glee. Of course she has no clue what she's saying, and frankly I'm still in a bit of disbelief and desperately trying to get it on tape so I can prove what we heard.

These photos are from our latest impromptu 'shoot'. I only use manual settings, and still have quite a bit of learning to do to get lighting and exposure dialed in, but I'm quite fond of these shots. Coming back and looking at these cutie-patootie photos help keep me going after a night (or two, or three) of peeling myself out of the warm blankets to go comfort a crying girl for the 5th time. I'll be visiting this page a lot this week, I think.

Thanks, Josie. :) The new pics of Elsie are adorable. And glad the salmon was a hit!.. I can't wait to give salmon to Veda.

Awesome job with the photography, Shay! She is a gorgeous baby, and I can't wait to watch her continue to grow!

By the way, it's Jamie posting. :-) For some reason, it listed Nate's name before, but you probably figured that out on your own. ;-)

Haha, thanks Jamie! Actually, I would have wondered "Nathan who?" for at least a few minutes if you hadn't clarified. Thanks for having us at Felise's party. We should make plans soon.
