First snow.

Ah, the first snow. Well, technically I think this was the second snow, but it was the first real snow. You know, the one where you open up the drapes in the chill of the morning to find nothing but the stillness of white punctuated by the scrape of the plows. It's special, that first snow. The gray days are obscured by christmas lights, the solstice still awaits, and it's another one or two months before the primal ache for sun and warmth hits its relentless peak. It's snowing! Since we're slow on the purchase of infant snow gear, we opted to prop little Veda up in front of the picture window to soak up her first wintry landscape.
