The many faces of Veda.

Secretly I've been feeling just a little bit bummed to find so few of Veda's features to be similar to my own. I'm a little surprised by this. While pregnant I pictured her looking much like her papa, who does have one of the nicest faces I can imagine. I have often been able to see Clark in her face; her jawline, his smiley eyes. As she nears 4 months old, however, I'm discovering the properties of her Mama to be hidden among her fleeting expressions. Her countenance is becoming increasingly diverse and communicative, revealing smiles that are clearly her father's, and pensive furrows that are clearly her mother's. Of course the majority of expressions are thankfully just Veda. While it seems vain to admit out loud, I imagine all parents look for evidence of themselves in their children (particularly the good pieces). Amusingly, most of Veda's expressions that remind me of myself tend to be the pouting, the sullen, the pensive. Clark so far has a hold on the smiling, and the laughter. But Veda has only just begun to reveal her many faces. She has her own little flair; a combination of both of her stage loving parents. All we have to do now is foster it.
